How to Remove Family Member in your Smart Ration Card Tamilnadu ?

Ration and family cards are issued at the level of the corresponding number of member of its family. The type of ration issued determines the quantity of goods the family gets. Households belonging to specific categories are eligible for buying food grains at subsidies via the Public Supply System which is under the National Food Act.

1. Visit the official TNPDS website ( https://www.tnpds.gov.in/ ) 
2. In the new screen please use the “Remove Family Member” option on the right part of the screen under “SMART CARD RELATED SERVICES”. 
3. A new screen prompts the user to sign in using the mobile number attached to the family card. Please follow the prompts as appropriate (entering the captcha) and finally click the “Register it” button, 
4. User will get OTP in their mobile. 
5. Please enter this OTP at prompted space and click the “Submit” button. 
6. A new screen will be provided. Here respective details for Remove member will be listed. If the page shows different data please select service type from the drop-down menu (Remove member). 
7. As per selection Remove Member, the user will be provided with a list of existing members on the card. 
8. Please click the check box at the end of each row against the name of the member to be removed. 
9. Please select the check box for the “I accept terms and conditions…..” option and then click the “Submit” button. 
10. The applicant gets acknowledgment for the submitted application. Keep it safe for future reference. This application gets processed by the respective department. 
11. The applicant gets a notification over mobile and please follow as per the notification to get the card. The applicant shall check the online status using the acknowledgment received.
